When a busy commercial office needs to make better use of its existing space, the right building partner can make all the difference. PH Build Group was delighted to complete a professional office fit-out for Haydock Finance Limited at their headquarters in Blackburn, helping transform an underused corner of the lower floor hallway into a fully functioning workspace that felt like a natural part of the existing office environment.
The Brief
The objective was clear: create a practical, comfortable and well-finished room within the lower floor of the building, while ensuring the new space matched the surrounding offices. The finished area needed to provide additional usable workspace without looking like an afterthought. It also had to meet the needs of a live commercial setting, where disruption should be kept to a minimum and every element must be completed to a high standard.
Our Approach
PH Build Group planned and delivered the works with a focus on quality, consistency and careful coordination. The team installed a new partition to match the existing office layout, creating a defined room that blended seamlessly with the surrounding interior. A new fire door and fire casing were fitted, complete with appropriate door hardware, helping to support both function and compliance within the workplace.
To make the room ready for day-to-day use, PH Build Group also coordinated electrical works, including the installation of new power sockets. New glazing with obscure glass was added to match the adjoining rooms, giving the space privacy while maintaining a consistent look across the office floor. A Mitsubishi air conditioning unit was supplied and fitted, then connected into the existing system to provide a comfortable working environment throughout the year.
The existing grid ceiling was altered to accommodate the new partition and air conditioning unit, ensuring the room looked clean, professional and properly integrated. Once the main installation work was complete, the team decorated the new meeting room, along with the external side of the new partition and door, to provide a smart finish in keeping with the rest of the office.
The Result
The completed workspace gave Haydock Finance Limited a useful new room within their existing footprint. By converting an underused area of the lower floor hallway, PH Build Group helped the client make better use of valuable office space.
Every detail was considered, from the matching partition and obscure glazing to the fire door, electrics, air conditioning and final decoration. The result was a professional, comfortable and practical workspace that fits naturally with the surrounding offices and supports the needs of a modern commercial team.
